From home-made pies, quiches and cakes to soups and ready meals, all are lovingly hand-made in our farmhouse kitchen.
Our approach to cooking your food
Everything from our kitchens is made from scratch, using home-grown produce from our fields, wherever possible.
We know what’s in our food beacuse we make it ourselves and we use the same approach for every recipe whether it’s for the shop, Deli or cafe, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. And of course, there are no nasty additives or hydrogenated fats.
We know that our customers don’t always have time to make wholesome, home-made, and delicious meals, and that’s where we come in.
The tastiest possible choice
We’ve given much thought to the choice available from the shop and have tried to cater for as many appetites as possible, large or small.
If you’re looking for a tasty snack or dinner for one, then take a look at our Deli counter with an extensive range of mini-quiches, pies and pastries. Or for a hungry family of four, our large family size meals will ensure you’re feeding your family a delicious, home-cooked meal and still have time to spend with them afterwards – this last bit is optional!
There’s everyday favourites like cottage pie, lasagne and stews, to more luxurious dishes such as fish pie, beef in red wine, and chicken, bacon and leek hotpot.
We’ve got vegetarian meals like spinach and mushroom lasagne, vegetable stew with dumplings and pastas along with a selection of vegetarian pies and our ever-popular goats cheese and spiced spinach parcels.
Our home-made salads are simply delicious and include everyday favourites such as potato, spicy rice and creamy coleslaw, or more adventurous varieties like crunchy cabbage and fennel or beetroot and onion.
To finish, we’ve got some perfect puds like lemon meringue pie or New Zealand carrot cake and a selection of tray-bakes and traditional tea-time treats like treacle tart or shortbread.
