Our lovely ladies are baking from dawn to dusk to fill the shop and cafe with the most delicious cakes. If you need a birthday cake in a hurry - we’ll get you out of one sticky mess and into another!
Baking up to seventy cakes a day, we’ve become quite the experts on how to make the perfect cake and we’ve always tried to keep things simple, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Take our classic sponge cake which contains just six ingredients;
- Butter from Maryland Farm
- Free range eggs from Blackacre Farm
- Milk from Ivy House Dairy
- Flour from FWP Matthews in Gloucestershire, sugar and baking powder
Then to top it off, a spoonful of home-made jam and a sprinkling of icing sugar.
Or if you’re in need of something a little more decadent, we can fill it with butter-cream and cover it with a deliciously rich icing. With over ten fabulous flavours to choose from including, butterscotch, chocolate orange, coffee and walnut, lemon fudge and chocolate fudge you’re certain to find your perfect party piece.
If cakes aren’t your thing but you like puddings – you’re in for a treat!
We have a beautiful selection of home-made tray-bakes and traditional tea-time cakes like treacle tart, Viennese jam tart, shortbread and rich fruit cakes.
You’ll be equally spoilt for choice with our home-made puds too like tiramsu, cheesecakes, New Zealand carrot cake and boozy trifles, to name but a few.
