Our award winning farm shop is brimming with home-grown veg, home-made goodies and a fabulous selection of products from local and artisan producers.

The farm shop sells everything from teas and coffees, the freshest veg and meat, cakes and chocolates, to eco-friendly cleaning products, and with over four thousand items,  there’s everything you need to do a full shop!

We don’t do self-scanning, just tradtional, friendly customer service where we’re always happy to help. Whether it’s carrying your bags or recommendations for dinner, we’ll do everything we can to give you a great shopping experience.

Farrington’s also operate a good, better or best policy to ensure best pricing and value for money for our customers.

During the year we grow eighty varieties of produce which are available in the farm shop – depending on the seasons of course. There’s everything from parsnips, leeks, carrots and  beetroot to spring-time asparagus, broad beans, onions and summer cabbage, all of which feature in our home-made dishes.

We grow two types of potato, Wilja and Valor, both available from the shop. Our favourite has to be the great all-rounder, Wilja, which goes into many of our home-made and cafe dishes. Different soils give different flavours and our soil brings out the best in the Wilja.

Gert’s Fruit and Veg Saver Card is a great way to save £’s on your shopping and ensure you’re getting your five- a- day. Costing just £5, this gives you 25% off all fruit and vegetables bought in the shop. Our new card is available from 2nd January 2013 and a year’s membership will last until the 31st January 2014.

Our shelves are filled with all sorts of home-made things from jams, chocolates, pies, cakes and desserts, to soups, salads and ready- meals for when you fancy a night off from the cooking.

We sell real bread from the Thoughtful Bread Company, our artisan bakers based on site. They do some really unusual varieties like nettle & chive, Cheddar Gorge – made with a cave-aged Cheddar and a wonderful beetroot bread.

Our butters and yoghurts are all locally made as are Ivy House Dairy’s milk and cream which they also supply to Fortnum & Mason. Well, if it’s good enough for the Queen then it’s certainly good enough for us!

Jon Thorner’s, our craft butchers, stock locally-reared beef, lamb, pork and poultry from Somerset and their friendly team can advise on specialist cuts and recipes.

Our Deli stocks a superb selection of home-made specialities such as scrumptious scotch eggs, perfect pies, pastries and cakes. It showcases some of the best food the South-West has to offer along with over fifty locally-produced and artisan cheeses.

There’s fabulous fresh fish from The Pink Prawn fishmongers and a superb selection of speciality foods and products from fine food producers, sourced locally of course wherever possible.

And when you’ve finished shopping, you can explore the farm and meet some of our animals in Cowtastic Farm Park, our family-friendly playpark and farm trail, just some of the things that make Farrington’s such a special place to visit.
