About the Event

It’s time for our annual Pumpkin Festival! It’s our favourite time of year and this year we have grown around 100,000 pumpkins, which is more than ever before!

We have lots of different varieties of pumpkins including your classic ‘Cinderella’ orange pumpkins, white ‘Ghost’ pumpkins, ‘Knucklehead’ knobbly pumpkins and lots more.

Grab a wheelbarrow and explore our 12-acre Pumpkin Patch! We are open throughout October so there is plenty of time to choose your perfect pumpkin.

Tickets are £2.50 each person (under 2s free) this includes entrance to the Pumpkin Patch, displays, entrance to the carving area and parking. PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE A PUMPKIN. Please make sure you book the correct time and date as tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Please note, everyone entering the Pumpkin Patch MUST have a ticket (except under 2s), and children must be accompanied by an adult.

What else is on?

In addition to the enormous Pumpkin Patch and fun displays, we have lots more going on throughout October…

We have a carving marquee so you can carve your pumpkins straight after picking. We are sure parents will appreciate this, as we clear up the mess so you can keep your kitchens clean!

The children’s funfair will be with us from the 8th October to keep the kids entertained with fun rides and fairground games (charged per ride).

In proper farm style, Farmer Andy has built the ever-popular Straw Pool which is open for kids to jump around in, keeping them entertained while you sip on a coffee (or a beer!) from our bar.

The Witch’s Wood will be open where you will find the crash site of our resident witch, Whinny. Toast some marshmallows (£1) in her caldron and grab some sweets to keep your energy levels up while you pick pumpkins! (weekends and last week of October)

Tractor Trailer rides will be running daily (£1), so climb aboard and hold on tight for a bumpy ride across the farm (weekends and last week of October).

The Playbarn will be open as normal for further entertainment. We aren't taking bookings for this so just turn up on the day, but bear in mind this often gets busy.

What food options are available?

The Barn will be serving a range of food and drink to keep you going throughout the day.

If you want something lighter, The Snack Shack will be serving smaller snacks and takeaway drinks with plenty of undercover seating to rest your tired legs.

Of course, our popular Fish and Chip shop will be open throughout the Pumpkin Festival.

If table service is more your style, then we welcome you to take a seat in our cosy café. We have a delicious autumnal menu on offer, making use of seasonal farm produce and local ingredients. Try our famous pumpkin soup or sip on a warming pumpkin spiced latte.

FAQ’s

Can I pay for things by card?

Yes, we do take card payments for everything on site. However, we do highly recommend you bring cash along with you, in the event our card machines are on go-slow. We are in the countryside and connections aren’t always the quickest!

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs on leads are welcome into the Pumpkin Patch. Of course, you should pick-up after them.

Do I have to purchase a ticket for my baby?

No, under 2’s are free and therefore do not require a ticket.

When is the best time to visit?

You will get the best selection of pumpkins the earlier you visit, however, if you choose to carve your pumpkins too early, they are unlikely to last until Halloween.

Can I bring my pushchair?

Yes, we do have a track in the pumpkin field so a pushchair is doable. However, it will get muddy. You might opt to borrow a wheelbarrow instead.

Can I swap my ticket to another day?

Sorry, we are unable to process this request.

Can I have a refund on my ticket?

Sorry, we do not offer refunds on tickets.

Do adults have to purchase tickets as well as children?

Yes, everyone who enters the Pumpkin Patch will need a ticket (apart from under 2's).

How much are your pumpkins?

Pumpkin prices are priced based on the size of the pumpkin. They start from £3 and go up to £8.50 for a monster pumpkin.

What if it is raining on the day I have booked?

We will be running the event whatever the weather. Bring wellies and a rain jacket for picking your pumpkins, then we have undercover areas for carving and eating!

What shall I wear to the event?

We recommend wellies, especially if it has been raining. The Pumpkin Patch can get very muddy.

How do your time slots work?

You will have booked your hour time slot, this means you can arrive any time within your time slot. You can stay at the event for as long as you want, your time slot is just to help us stagger entry.

What dates are you open?

Our Pumpkin Patch is open on the 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 21st, -  31st.
