About the Event

WAHOOO! It’s time to dust off your wellies ready for the annual Pumpkin Festival at Farrington's Farm...

Farmer Ross planted thousands of pumpkin seeds back in the spring and the pumpkin patch is now covered in pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colours. We are VERY excited to welcome you to pick-your-own!

We have a huge variety including your classic orange ‘Cinderella’ pumpkins, white ‘ghost’ pumpkins, knobbly ‘knucklehead’ pumpkins, tasty crown prince and lots more...

Grab a wheelbarrow to explore our 17-acre Pumpkin Patch this October (yes, it's that big!)

TICKETS

This event is advance tickets only. Tickets are £2.50 per person, under 2s are free. Ticket includes entry into the Pumpkin Patch, displays, entrance to the carving space and parking. Please note that your ticket does NOT include a pumpkin, you can purchase as many pumpkins as you like on the day. Everyone entering the Pumpkin Patch MUST have a ticket (except under 2s). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please double check before making your booking, it is your responsibility to book the correct day/time. We DO NOT offer refunds or transfers.

ALSO AT FARRINGTON'S

In addition to the HUGE pumpkin patch and fun displays, we have plenty of other things here at Farrington's when you visit...

  • Our big carving marquee will be open for business so you can carve your pumpkins with spooky faces and leave the mess behind! (£1.50 to purchase a carving kit)
  • In proper farm style, Farmer Andy has built the ever-popular Straw Pool which is open for kids to play and jump around in (free of charge)
  • The pop-up funfair will be with us throughout October to keep the kids entertained with fun rides and fairground games (charged separately by fairground operator)
  • Whinny the Witch of Farrington Gurney will be in the Witches Wood. Toast some marshmallows in her cauldron but be careful she doesn't cast a spell on you.. (£1 for stick of marshmallows, Whinny is joining us for weekends and half term)
  • Tractor & trailer rides will be running so climb aboard and hold on tight for a bumpy ride across the farm (£1 per person, please note this is highly weather dependant, running weekends and half term)
  • The Playbarn will be open as normal for playtime! No need to book but bear in mind there may be a time limit should the Playbarn be busy (Entry fees can be found on the Playbarn page of our website)
  • Our Farm Shop and Deli is stocked with our homegrown organic veggies and lovely products from local suppliers, pop in to pick up a few treats!
  • The Shopping Village is host to a variety of other businesses you can visit including beauty and hair salons, book shop and gift shop.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Some useful things to note ahead of your visit to the Farrington's:

  • The Pumpkin Patch is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs
  • Wheelbarrows will be available for you to borrow on the day (subject to availability)
  • Our pumpkins are not sprayed for weeds so there aren't just pumpkin plants in the field! This is normal, but please wear long trousers, long-sleeved tops and wellies to protect yourselves. Please do not pick anything that isn't a pumpkin and supervise children at all times.
  • We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads in the Pumpkin Patch. Please make sure you pick up after them and put waste in the bins provided
  • This is an all-weather event (although it's usually quite muddy after rain!). Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day
  • Smoking is not permitted in the Pumpkin Patch

FAQS

Can I bring my pushchair?

We HIGHLY recommend that you avoid bringing a pushchair into the Pumpkin Patch, you will be entering a field which is not a suitable surface for them. The rest of the site is pushchair accessible once you have picked your pumpkins.

How much are the pumpkins?

Pumpkin prices are based on the size of the pumpkin. They start from around £1.50 and can go up to over £10 for the extra large MONSTERS. If you choose a white one, it's £1 extra for any size.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs on leads are welcome into the Pumpkin Patch, but please make sure you pick up after them!

Who needs a ticket?

EVERYONE needs a ticket to enter the Pumpkin Patch except babies under 2 years old and dogs!

When is the best time to visit?

You will get the best selection of pumpkins the earlier you visit, however, if you choose to carve your pumpkins too early, they are unlikely to last until Halloween

Can I swap my ticket to another day?

Sorry, we are unable to transfer tickets to another day but you are welcome to give your tickets to someone else, provided they have your ticket information

Can I have a refund on my ticket?

Sorry, we do not offer refunds on tickets, but you are welcome to give your tickets to someone else, provided they have your ticket information

Can I pay for things by card?

Yes, we do take card payments for everything on site. However, we do highly recommend you bring cash along with you, in the event our card machines are on go-slow. We are in the countryside and connections aren’t always the quickest!

What if it is raining on the day I have booked?

We will be running the event whatever the weather. Bring wellies and a rain jacket for picking your pumpkins, we have undercover areas for carving and eating!

What shall I wear to the event?

We recommend wellies and a rain jacket, you can never predict British weather in October! The Pumpkin Patch can get very muddy. Please don't wear your best white trainers!

How do your time slots work?

You will have booked your hour time slot, this means you can arrive any time within your time slot. You can stay in the field for as long as you want (until the field closes for the day), your time slot is just to help us stagger entry throughout the day to avoid queues!

What dates are you open?

Our Pumpkin Patch is open on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 14th -16th, 20th - 30th October.
