FARRINGTON'S PUMPKIN PICKING FAQs
Pick-your-own Pumpkin Patch near Bristol, Bath and Wells in Somerset

SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ANSWERED...
Who needs a ticket?
Everyone aged 2 years and over requires a valid ticket to enter the Pumpkin Patch.
Children under 2, registered on-duty carers accompanying the person they support, and dogs do not require a ticket.
I'm a carer, how does the free entry work?
If you're an on-duty carer accompanying the person you care for, you don't need to book a ticket. Simply arrive with the ticket holder and be prepared to show valid proof of carer status on arrival.
Do pumpkins come with my ticket?
No, pumpkins are purchased separately during your visit. Pumpkin prices start from 50p, with our giant pumpkins priced from £12+. Prices are based on the size of the pumpkin using a measuring tape around its widest point. A full price guide is displayed at the entrance to the Pumpkin Patch. As pumpkins are a natural product, sizes, shapes and varieties will vary and are available while stocks last.
When is the best time to visit?
For the widest choice of pumpkins, we recommend visiting earlier in the season. If you're planning to carve your pumpkin for Halloween, remember that pumpkins are natural products and may not last until Halloween if carved too early.
How do the arrival time slots work?
Your booked time slot is your arrival window into the Pumpkin Patch. Once you've entered, you're welcome to stay and enjoy the Pumpkin Patch until it closes that day.
Arrival slots help us manage visitor numbers and reduce queue times throughout the day.
If you've booked the final arrival slot, please arrive promptly as the Pumpkin Patch closes shortly afterwards (for example, if the final arrival slot is 3-4pm, the Pumpkin Patch will close at approximately 4.30pm). You're very welcome to arrive at Farrington's Farm earlier in the day to enjoy everything else on site before entering the Pumpkin Patch.
Can I change my booking?
Tickets are valid only for the date and arrival time selected when booked. Booking amendments are not guaranteed and, where permitted, are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or if Farrington's Farm cancels the event. If you choose not to attend due to poor weather or for any other personal reason, refunds will not be issued.
I missed my booked time slot. Can I still come?
If you arrive outside your booked arrival slot, we'll always do our best to accommodate you where capacity allows. However, during busy periods we cannot guarantee entry and late arrivals may experience delays or be refused entry if the Pumpkin Patch has reached capacity.
What happens if it rains?
Our Pumpkin Festival is an outdoor event and takes place in almost all weather conditions, a little mud is all part of the fun! We recommend bringing wellies, waterproofs and warm clothing. We also have undercover areas where you can enjoy food, drinks and pumpkin carving. Refunds or transfers are not available if you decide not to attend due to rain or Yellow/Amber weather warnings. If severe weather (such as a Red Weather Warning) means we have to cancel the event, we'll contact affected ticket holders with the options available.
What should I wear?
Please dress for an autumn day on the farm! We recommend wellies or sturdy waterproof footwear, warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket, clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy. The Pumpkin Patch is located in a real working field with uneven and muddy ground, so we definitely wouldn't recommend wearing your favourite white trainers!
Can I bring a pushchair?
Pushchairs are welcome on Farrington's main site. However, we generally don't recommend taking them into the Pumpkin Patch, as the field can become muddy and uneven depending on the weather. Pushchairs are brought into the Pumpkin Patch at your own risk.
Is the Pumpkin Patch accessible?
We aim to make the event as accessible as possible, but please be aware that the Pumpkin Patch is located on farmland. Ground conditions can vary significantly depending on the weather and some areas may become muddy, uneven or difficult to access using wheelchairs, mobility scooters or pushchairs. If you'd like to discuss accessibility before your visit, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome. Please make sure they're kept under control at all times and that you clean up after them.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. We accept all major card and contactless payments across the site, except AMEX. You're welcome to bring some cash too, as we're in the countryside and card connections can occasionally be slower than we'd like.
Can I fly a drone?
No. Drones and other unmanned aerial devices are not permitted anywhere on site without prior written permission from Farrington's Farm.
Can I take photographs?
Absolutely! We love seeing your Pumpkin Festival photos. Photography for personal use is encouraged. If you're planning a commercial photo shoot, professional filming or influencer content creation, please contact us beforehand for permission. Please note that photography and filming may also take place during the event for Farrington's Farm marketing purposes.
