About Us
Farrington’s Farm is a family-run farm shop set on a stunning 400-acre working farm in the heart of Somerset. We’re passionate about fresh, local produce and creating a welcoming experience for every customer.
Alongside our farm shop, we also have a café, playbarn, outdoor farm park and host popular seasonal events, including our well-known Pumpkin Festival.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our close-knit team at Farrington's Cafe.
You’ll spend most of your time preparing drinks, serving customers and helping to keep the café running smoothly. This role will also involve front of house shifts on the café floor.
If you enjoy working with people, take pride in great service and have an interest in coffee / café culture, this could be a perfect fit.
The successful applicant will be flexible and available to work approximately 4 shifts per week, with shifts scheduled across Monday to Sunday. Shifts fall between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm. You'll be required to work every other weekend. Additional hours may be available seasonally.
You’ll be working in a beautiful rural setting with a supportive, friendly team and a strong connection to local food and community.
What you'll be doing
Coffee & drinks preparation - Making high-quality coffees and beverages, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are maintained.
Customer service - Being a welcoming and friendly face, taking orders and delivering excellent service at all times.
Café floor & presentation - Keeping the café and coffee service area clean, tidy and inviting, including clearing tables and maintaining displays.
Till & transactions - Processing orders accurately using the POS system and handling cash and card payments responsibly.
Stock & operations - Restocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, checking dates, and helping minimise waste.
Teamwork - Working collaboratively with the team and supporting colleagues during busy periods.
About you

While specific company training will be provided, previous experience (at least 6 months) as a barista in a fast-paced environment is essential
Hourly wage: £12.95 (dependent on age)
